Remembering Our Mothers,  Rebirthing Ourselves

Re-membering means nothing if not re-connection.  Remembering enables us to reclaim our mother’s life-giving legacies and to give birth to our female selves.  During this workshop we will focus upon recollecting our memories of our relationship with our mothers and how this relationship has shaped and continues to shape our experience of our selves, our world and our images of God.  Through presentations, guided imagery and exercises, group reflection and sharing, we will explore aspects of the process of unraveling our “myths of motherhood” in order to reweave a more truthful and richly textured sense of our selves as daughters/women of faith within our present historical context.
